Platinum Fitness of the Desert, Inc. is entirely committed to your health. What sets us apart is our extensive experience and education in the health and fitness training industry. Our Expert Fitness Trainer Tony Clerc, holds a Master's degree from Boston University, a Bachelor's degree from UC Davis, he is also a Certified Nutritionist with the American Fitness Professional and Associates (AFPA) and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the distinguished American Council on Exercise (ACE). He served in the US Army including one tour in the Middle East. He is also an avid runner and triathlete. Tony is the "fitness guru" and a regular contributor to KESQ channel 3. He has written many fitness articles for publications and gives presentations on health and fitness related topics throughout the Coachella Valley. He lives in La Quinta, with his wife Heidi and their dog Bailey.

He has trained all types of people from all walks of life and he understands that each person is different. From a client suffering from cerebral palsy, to a stay-at-home mom trying to lose a few pounds, to the busy executive trying to improve his golf game, Tony has tailored effective and results oriented fitness routines to all of his clients. His training methods include a combination of strength and movement training, core, flexibility, balance and coordination training.

His story:

Tony Clerc established Platinum Fitness of the Desert, Inc. because he grew tired of the impersonality and the "meat market" feeling of big-box gyms. He would notice day after day, other trainers implementing the exact same ineffective cookie cutter routine for many different people and body types. The same trainers were no longer thinking about each clients' goals and well being, but on the effortless task of implementing the same routine for all of their clients. Additionally, many of those trainers received their certifications with an online program where they paid a fee and received a certificate in a matter of hours. These same trainers ineffectively and unsafely "trained" paying clients who hardly achieved their fitness goals.

This is when he decided to create his own approach and methods which have been extremely effective for his clients. He created a training concept where each client goes through an entirely customized program depending on his/her goals, limitations and lifestyle. His training methods result in faster and better results, entirely tailored for the individual.
